Triple shooting near Miami Dade College North Campus
MIAMI - Three people were rushed to the hospital after they were shot multiple times near Miami Dade College North Campus.
According to police, it happened Sunday just before 5 p.m. at NW 116th Street and NW 27th Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a black Mercedes-Benz sedan near 118th Street with numerous bullet holes and a man and two women with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to investigators, the Mercedes-Benz was heading north of NW 27 Avenue when a vehicle pulled up beside it and those inside fired several dozen bullets into it, striking the three people inside. The vehicle from which the shots were fired then sped off.
"I heard some shooting, it was like firecrackers, it was very fast," said John Feliciano. "To hear it and then the commotion afterward, it was very scary."
"It's extremely disturbing that someone would open fire on a vehicle in broad daylight," said Miami-Dade police Detective Andre Martin.
The man and two women were taken to the Ryder Trauma Center by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, where they are listed in critical condition.
