Police Hunt For Gunman In Liberty City Shooting
MIAMI - (CBS4) - A man was shot and killed Saturday night on a Liberty City street.
Police say a man and a friend had left an apartment complex Saturday and were on their way to a local store when they stopped to get money out of their car.
It was when they stopped to pick up the money from their car near Northwest 60th Street and 7th Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. when a man with a hood over his head and a cloth over his arm shot one of the men in the abdomen.
The man was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center where doctors pronounced him dead. Police did not immediately identify the man saying relatives were being informed of his death.
Meanwhile, the other man who was with him gave police a brief description of the gunman.
He was six-foot tall wearing a long, black sleeve shirt and a cover shirt that read, "Kansas City Royals."
