Police: Estranged Husband Stabs Wife Before Shooting Himself
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A domestic dispute nearly turned deadly Friday for a woman who was attacked by her estranged husband who then tried to kill himself.
According to Miami police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes, the unidentified man showed up outside his wife's condominium Friday morning as she was heading to work and he stabbed her multiple times.
She was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in extremely critical condition.
The husband, meantime, left the crime scene and went home where he shot himself in the head, according to police.
He was also taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Det. Reyes said the couple has been married for 19 years.
