Plane Lands Safely At MIA With Bird Lodged In Wing

MIAMI (CBS4) -- An American Airlines plane landed safety at Miami International Airport Thursday night despite a hole in one its wing left by a bird strike.

The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. on Flight 954 from Honduras.

  According to American Airlines, the plane made a safe emergency landing after a flight attendant looked out of a window and spotted a bird lodged in the wing.

Once on the ground, the remnants of the bird were removed.

Nobody was hurt.
