Plane Lands Safely At MIA Following Cabin Pressure Problem
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) – A slight scare in the area Thursday morning when an American Airlines flight headed to Los Angeles was diverted to Miami International Airport after reports of pressure problems in the cabin.
Airport spokesman Greg Chin said flight 1585 took off Thursday morning from Fort Lauderdale AT 9:10 a.m. headed to LAX when crew members reported the problem. The plane was diverted to Miami, circled a few times to burn fuel and landed safely at 10:12 a.m.
There were 147 passengers and crew members on the plane. Nobody was hurt.
Once repairs are made, the plane is scheduled to depart MIA for LAX at 11:45 a.m.
