Pilot's Body Found In Plane In Pahokee Field
PAHOKEE (CBSMiami) – The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has launched an investigation after a pilot's lifeless body was found in a plane in a sugar cane field Sunday morning.
The pilot was aboard a small single-engine airplane which was spotted about 6:30 a.m. just southeast of the Pahokee Airport, according to the sheriff's office. The plane then went down and crashed at the 3800 block of State Road 715 .
The sheriff's office has not released the pilot's name.
It was not immediately known what caused the crash. The pilot's body was taken to the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
It was not immediately known if anyone else was in the plane at the time it went down.
