Philbin: 'Absolutely Would Love' to Attack More on Offense

Are the Miami Dolphins aiming for a more explosive passing attack in 2015?

"Sure, we want to do a better job with run after the catch," Joe Philbin said after practice Wednesday. "Some of that is being more elusive with the guys once they get their hands on the football. Some of it's maybe accuracy on the throw, so we can hit some more people in stride and they can gain more yards after the catch. Some of it is we'd love to complete some more shots down the field and part of that's having the confidence in the protection to sit there with the ball in your hand that long. There's a lot that goes into it, but we absolutely would love to.

"That being said, we're not going to force the ball to somebody that's not open just to say to throw the ball down the field. We want to teach the quarterback, train the quarterback to have a progression and throw to the open receiver. But we do want to definitely average more yards per catch, for sure."
