FedEx Truck Driver Hospitalized After Getting Run Over By Own Vehicle In Southwest Miami-Dade
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) – A FedEx truck driver was fighting for his life on Thursday evening after his own vehicle ran him over in SW Miami-Dade.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, units responded to a medical call at SW 58th Street and 97th Avenue.
Investigators said the adult victim was distributing packages on his assigned route when his truck failed to start.
The victim began to work on the front exterior of the truck when it began to roll forward, according to police.
Authorities said that despite the man's efforts to evade the moving truck, he was pinned underneath and dragged on the roadway.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported him to a local hospital in critical condition.
