Police: 2 Arrested, 1 On The Loose Following Attempted Burglary In Dade

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade police arrested two people and are looking for a third following an attempted burglary in southwest Miami-Dade on Monday.
It all started at around 4 p.m. when a teen called police saying her home, located at SW 143rd Street and 152nd Avenue, was being broken into.
Investigators said two men forced their way in by smashing the rear sliding glass door. Once inside, the thieves ransacked the home.
Responding officers descended on the home and said they saw the two men attempting to flee on foot with the stolen property.
The officers arrested 16-year-old Alejandro Armas, but the second suspect got away.
Police set up a perimeter and saturated the area in search of the other robber.
K-9 officers later found the other suspect, who they identified as 19-year-old Jonathan Wilbert Castillo.
Authorities said a third person, a female getaway driver, remains at large. The make and model of the car is unknown, with the only description being it is white.
Armas and Castillo are facing burglary charges.
