A Pennsylvania man was arrested in South Florida after allegedly leaving a small child unattended in a Tesla Cybertruck in a mall parking lot. However, prosecutors have since dropped the charges.

According to Aventura police, officers responded to a call on Friday, Jan. 17, about an unattended child in a silver Cybertruck parked in the Macy's garage at Aventura Mall.

When an officer arrived, he found the truck was not running, and the rear passenger window was slightly lowered, according to the incident report. Inside, a young girl was asleep in a car seat.

The child appeared to be breathing normally and showed no signs of distress, the report stated.

The officer then noticed a cellphone in the front seat, which had been on a call for 53 minutes. When he tried the driver's side door handle, it unlocked. He picked up the phone and called the number on the open line.

According to the report, Vadim Fedorovsky, 36, of Reading, Pennsylvania, answered. The officer identified himself and instructed Fedorovsky to return to his vehicle because a small child had been left unattended inside.

Fedorovsky returned and attempted to explain the situation, though the report did not include details of his explanation.

He was read his rights, arrested, and taken to jail, facing a charge of child neglect without bodily harm.

According to documents provided in March 2025 by Fedorovsky's attorney, Walter Reynoso, after reviewing the case, the State Attorney's Office decided to take no action, ultimately dropping the charges against Fedorovsky.
