Pembroke Pines Sinkhole Swallows Fire Truck
PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) - A Pembroke Pines fire engine found itself in quite the predicament when it lodged it's front tires in a sinkhole.
City officials said a water main break caused the sinkhole in the 7200 block of Pines Boulevard just before 5 p.m. Thursday.
The truck, which is accustomed to rescuing others, was in need of a tow. The stretch of roadway was closed off to traffic while crews worked to cap the leak and free the firetruck.
No injuries were reported.
