Pembroke Pines Man Killed In Collision With A Deer
PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami/AP) - Funeral arrangements are being made for a a Pembroke Pines man who was killed in a motorcycle collision with a deer.
Bruce Pelish, 57, died after being thrown from his bike Saturday morning when a deer darted into his path, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He was driving north on State Road 19 in the Ocala National Forest.
Pelish and his wife left Friday for the annual Leesburg Bikefest in Lake County with other South Florida couples. Two others in the group were injured when they hit Pelish's motorcycle after the collision. The deer died.
His family said Pelish had never been in an accident before and he was so dedicated to safety that he conducted classes for others.
