Pembroke Pines Man Enters Plea In Child Porn Case
PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) – A Pembroke Pines man charged with 30 counts of possessing and distributing child pornography appeared before a judge Tuesday.
During the hearing, 24-year old Christian Martinet pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, someone on a file sharing network site offered to share child pornography images and videos between the middle of July up until the beginning of September. A sheriff's investigator with the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children task force traced the person's internet address to Martinet.
During questioning Martinet reportedly admitted to deputies that he downloaded the child pornography onto his laptop. A forensic search of the laptop's hard drive found 12 videos and 18 images of children, some under the age of 13 years old, engaged in sexual acts.
Martinet is out on bond pending his trial. As part of his pre-trial release, Martinet he must wearing a GPS tracking device, have no access to the internet and must not be alone with children.
