Partial Testimony Tossed In NCAA's UM Investigation
MIAMI (CBS4) – Another victory for the University of Miami's athletic program under investigation by the NCAA.
Portions of former UM quarterback Kyle Wright's testimony is being tossed out, according to the Associated Press.
Wright is referenced in six allegations the NCAA brought against UM including "lack of institutional control."
The NCAA is dropping part of Wright's testimony in response to a motion filed by the school two weeks ago.
The NCAA investigation has come under fire after it revealed its investigators improperly used former booster Nevin Shapiro's attorney during the course of their probe into the school.
Shapiro claims he gave Hurricane players benefits for year.
The school has been informed to prepare for a hearing in front of the NCAA in June.
