SUNRISE (CBSMiami) – The NHL Draft is coming up on Friday and Saturday and will take place at the home of the Florida Panthers, the BB&T Center, in Sunrise.
As the league gears up for the new season, it gave fans a taste of things to come on Wednesday by releasing each team's home opener. The full 2015-16 NHL schedule will be released on Thursday morning.
The Panthers will open the season at home on October 10 against the Philadelphia Flyers.
The same two teams will face each other two days later in Philadelphia for the Flyers home opener.
Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. start times.
Last season the Panthers went 2-1-0 against Philly, winning the only game played at the BB&T Center while splitting the two played at the Wells Fargo Center.
Florida's preseason schedule was released earlier this week. Click here to view it.
