Panthers Agree To Terms With Bolland, Jokinen
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) -- The Florida Panthers agreed to terms with centers Dave Bolland and Jussi Jokinen, plus goaltender Al Montoya shortly after hockey's free agent period started Tuesday.
Bolland signed a $27.5 million, five-year deal. Jokinen signed for four years and $16 million. Terms of Montoya's deal were not immediately known.
Jokinen had 21 goals and 36 assists for 57 points with Pittsburgh last season. Bolland, who once was with the Chicago Blackhawks when Florida general manager Dale Tallon was in the same role with that franchise, played in just 23 games for Toronto this past season because of a severed tendon in his left ankle.
Montoya was 13-8-3 with a 2.30 goals-against average for Winnipeg last season, stopping 92 percent of the shots he faced.
