Palm Beach Murder Suspect Captured In Sweetwater
SWEETWATER (CBSMiami) – A West Plam Beach man wanted in the stabbing death of his brother was taken into custody by Sweetwater police.
Last Thursday, around 11:45 p.m., officer Kevin Serrano noticed a man hanging out in the city's business district near the intersection of NW 112th Avenue and NW 25th Street with food in his hand.
When Serrano asked the man, identified as 23-year old Bradin Gonsalves, what he was doing in the area at a time where most businesses are closed Gonsalves said he didn't know.
He then told officer Serrano "I am the one you are looking for. I killed my brother,' according to Sweetwater police.
Gonsalves was a suspect in a murder case out of West Palm Beach. He reportedly stabbed his older brother Gerard with a knife more than 65 times on the evening of July 10.
In addition to first degree murder, Gonsalves was also charged with grand theft auto for allegedly stealing his brother's car.
