Palin Attacks Rubio On Immigration
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Ronald Reagan used to tout the 11th Commandment, "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Rebublican." Based on tea party hero Sarah Palin's latest tweet, she may need to go back to learn that idea again.
Palin went after Florida Senator Marco Rubio with a biblical Twitter attack for his role in getting immigration reform passed through the United States Senate this week.
"'Obama Calls Rubio to Congratulate Him on Immigration Reform'…Hope it was worth 30 pieces of silver," Palin tweeted Friday evening.
The former Alaskan governor, who famously quit half-way through her term, was referring to the biblical story of Judas who received 30 pieces of silver for turning Jesus in to the Romans.
Palin has fought immigration reform every step of the way through the U.S. Senate. Although not a player in the actual political sphere, Palin still commands a large audience of followers on social media and through her appearances on Fox News Channel.
Senator Rubio's office hasn't commented on Palin's criticism.
