Orlando Teen Wins Key West Inaugural Triathalon
Nearly 700 people took part in the inaugural Key West Triathlon on Sunday.
The event included sprint distance and relay triathlons.
A 19-year old from Orland took the men's overall division title. Alex Habecker completed triathlon's 1.5-kilometer swim, 40-kilometer bike ride and 10-kilometer run in 2 hours, 2 minutes and 42 seconds. Second place in the mens division went to 19-year old Brian Trainor of Clifton Park while 37-year old Jonathan Bottoms from Buffalo, New York took third.
Nineteen-year-old Jessica Clay of South Elgin, Illinois won the women's race with a time of 2:16:02. Chicago resident Lindsey Whalen, 29, placed second while Kelly Kiyma, 18, of Williamsburg, Virginia. came in third.
