Oprah Winfrey: Stepping Up Her Game
NEW YORK (CBS4) -- She has taken off her crown as queen of daytime talk. But now Oprah Winfrey is putting on more hats at her new venture, OWN.
She currently serves as chairman, but starting in the fall, she will also become the chief executive officer and chief creative officer.
Those titles had been held by Christina Norman, who was canned in May. She was replaced on an interim basis by Peter Liguori, chief operating officer for Discovery Communications.
OWN launched January 1, but has been plagued by soft ratings. Soon after her daytime show ended in May, Winfrey said she would focus her efforts full-time on getting OWN's ratings up.
