Opa-Locka Road Rage Shooting Leaves One Dead, Another Injured

OPA-LOCKA (CBSMiami) – A vehicle riddled with bullets was towed away from the scene of a shooting Thursday night in Opa-locka that killed one man and sent another to the hospital earlier in the day.
"We don't know the motive. We don't know how many shooters, if there was more than one," said Miami-Dade Police Department Det. Lee Cowart.
Chopper 4 was over the scene off NW 27th avenue and Ali Baba Avenue shortly after 3 o'clock when Opa-locka police were called out.
"The source of the call was a 911 caller that reported that there was a man in the intersection that appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds and was injured," said Det. Cowart.
According to police, the vehicle that was shot crashed into another vehicle.
A nearby business owner says he heard the crash right after he heard shots fired.
"I was in my office when I heard gunshots. It sounded like a high-caliber weapon," said Zain Maniar, who works nearby. "We saw one person on the floor. He was injured, asking for help."
The business owner shot this cell phone video of the man who was injured being taken by ambulance.
Loved ones arrived at the scene after hearing the news. Miami-Dade Police is asking the public for help in finding the shooter or shooters.
"At this point we really need to try to identify a possible shooter and what their motive may have been," said Det. Cowart.
Police have not released the identities of the two victims. There is no suspect description.
