British Tourist Killed In SW Dade Crash
SW MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) - The west bound lanes of SW 8th Street at Krome Avenue were temporarily closed Sunday morning after a deadly accident.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said a Chevy Impala collided with an SUV as it went to turn into the popular tourist spot Gator Park located at 24050 SW 8th Street.
Fire Rescue spokesman Dan Herrera said the four women in the Impala were visiting South Florida from Great Britain.
"The were on vacation from the UK. There were four females and that is where we had our fatality, in that vehicle," said Herrera.
The three injured women were rushed to the hospital, no word on their injuries. Two people who were in the SUV are also being treated for injuries.
Police have not released the name of the woman who died.
