One Of Brevard County's Most Wanted Arrested In Sunrise
SUNRIDSE (CBSMiami) - A man wanted for killing a man in Brevard County was found and arrested by U.S. Marshals at his girlfriend's Sunrise home Thursday.
Jason Demetrious Williams, 30, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force based in Ft. Lauderdale.
Williams reportedly tried to flee through the window of the home on the 8000 block of NW 28 Place, but was met by a K-9 dog and Sunrise police officer who placed him into handcuffs.
Authorities say Williams was in Palm Bay on Saturday when he attacked Wayne McIntosh, 50, and stole his Grey Cadillac SRX. He then drove south on I-95. Authorities believed he was heading toward South Florida.
McIntosh's injuries from the beating were so severe he later died at the hospital.
Officials say Williams has a long rap sheet, serving time in a Florida prison on charges of Battery, Grand Theft, and has six narcotics related convictions. He's now in a Broward County jail before being extradited back to Brevard County to face murder charges.
