One Dead When SUV Flips On I-95
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Pompano Beach man was killed when an SUV he was traveling in flipped over on I-95.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Cesar Pazo Demoraes, 45, was heading south on the highway when he used the right shoulder to pass a Ford Mustang driven by 30-year old Manuel Perales near Sunrise Boulevard. When he attempted to change lanes, Demororaes hit the front side of the Mustang, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He then lost control and the SUV rolled over. Demororaes' passenger, 52-year old Peter Andrew Povolny, was thrown from the vehicle and died on the scene.
The impact caused Perales to veer to left where he struck Peter Doskey's Volvo C70.
Demoraes was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Neither Perales or Doskey was injured.
The names of the person who died has not been released.
