One Dead After Shooting In Pompano Beach Parking Lot
POMPANO BEACH (CBS4) - A confrontation in a Pompano Beach parking lot turned deadly Monday night when a gunman opened fire, killing a 23 year old man.
Broward Sheriff's Office spokesperson Keyla Concepcion said homicide detectives are in the lot on the 500 block of NW 15 Avenue in front of the 15 Street Market.
Officials say the victim got into a verbal dispute with an unknown man in the grocery store, and the argument spilled over to a grassy area next to a nearby coin laundry.
The suspect opened fire, fatally striking the victim, who was pronounced dead on the scene by Pompano Beach Fire Rescue.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim, pending notification of relatives.
The shooter is still on the loose.
