4-Year-Old Killed In Fiery Crash On I-95
NORTH MIAMI (CBS4) - A 4-year-old child is dead after two cars collided on I-95 Monday night.
Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alex Annunziato says a woman and two children were traveling northbound on the highway when their Toyota sedan was rear-ended by a Camaro near the exit to Northwest 131st Street.
The impact caused the Toyota to burst into flames.
Witnesses say the Camaro was driving at a high rate of speed just before the accident.
Two people in the Camaro were transported to the hospital, as well as the woman and two children in the Toyota. Lt. Annunziato says the 4-year-old died at the hospital.
Several lanes of I-95 will be shut down for several hours while police investigate and clear the debris.
