One $228 Million Powerball Winner; Fla. Lotto Rolls Over
MIAMI (CBS4) – Nobody in Florida won the $220 million Powerball lottery Wednesday but the Florida Lotto jackpot rolled over again.
The winning Powerball ticket was sold in Minnesota. The winner or winners have the option of taking about $123 million in cash now, otherwise the jackpot is paid over 30 years. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night were 11, 18, 36, 41, 46 and the Powerball is 38.
Powerball tickets are sold in 42 states plus Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Two tickets sold in Florida did match 5 of 5 without the 6th Powerball number. Those tickets are worth $200,000 each.
Saturday's Powerball jackpot is now worth $20 million.
As for the Florida Lotto, the jackpot rolled over Wednesday to an estimated $38 million. That's not too shabby.
The winning numbers drawn Wednesday were 8-36-46-47-48-52.
A total of 37 tickets matched five numbers to win $6,501.50 each; 2,542 tickets matched four numbers for $75 each; and 47,775 tickets matched three numbers for $5.50 each.
