Officer Facing Sexual Battery Charges Turns Himself In
PEMBROKE PINES (CBSMiami) - A Miami Beach Police detective has turned himself in for sexual battery charges.
According to Pembroke Pines Police, they obtained an arrest warrant for Oldy Ochoa, 48, on Friday.
The next day Ochoa turned himself in to the Broward County Jail where he was booked, processed, and released on bond.
Ochoa had been relieved of duty with pay while several agencies investigated the sexual battery allegations against him back in March.

According to his arrest warrant, a girl that Ochoa met years ago while working on a case alleged he sexually battered her on two separate occasions.
One of the incidents allegedly occurred in February behind a Pembroke Pines strip mall while the pair were in Ochoa's unmarked Miami Beach Police car.
The girl, who was 17-year s old at the time, told investigators that "during the time of this incident, Ochoa was in his full "class B" duty uniform in preparation of working an off-duty police detail at the Miami Boat Show."
The second alleged incident happened a week later in an isolated, wooded area in Northwest Miami-Dade, again in Ochoa's police car. Following that incident, the underage girl told investigators that Ochoa allowed the girl to drive the car.
Detectives searched Ochoa's police car back in March. According to the arrest report, DNA results acquired from the car indicate a mixture of Ochoa's sperm and the accusers DNA.
Ochoa and his accuser allegedly met several years ago while he was investigating a case she was involved in.
Ochoa has been working at the Miami Beach Police Department since 1990.
Miami Beach Police Daniel Oates released a statement on Saturday saying, "This is a very sad day for our department. This officer has been on administrative leave since March. We have cooperated fully with the Pembroke Pines Police Department in the investigation. Once the criminal case is over, we will take whatever action is appropriate regarding this officer's employment status."
