Officer Involved In Hit & Run Crash In Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A Miami-Dade police officer is okay after being involved in a hit and run accident in downtown Miami.
The officer was hit near NE 1st Avenue and 12th Street by a black Mercedes which sped off.
Miami police found the Mercedes, which had a flat tire on the passenger side, on the I-95 north ramp near I-395. Two men were taken into custody, questioned and released.
Detectives are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
