Off Duty Cop Breaks Up Fight Along The Turnpike
DORAL (CBSMiami) – An off duty Miami police officer jumped into action Wednesday morning to break up a fight along the Florida Turnpike.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the officer was driving on the Turnpike when he noticed several men going at it just north of NW 41st Street. After calling for back up from the FHP and Miami-Dade police, the officer jumped out of his vehicle and broke up the fight.
Arriving officers cuffed the six men who had been involved in the skirmish and made them lay face down on the ground until they could get things sorted out.
The FHP has not said what the fight was about or if anyone has been charged.
