Odds: Seattle, Denver Favored To Meet In Super Bowl
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Only four teams still have a shot at the Super Bowl and oddsmakers have a favorite to win it all, the Seattle Seahawks.
According to Bovada, the Seahawks are 2-1 favorites heading into conference championship game weekend to win the Super Bowl. The Denver Broncos are second with 21-10 odds followed by the San Francisco 49ers at 11-4 and the New England Patriots at 17-4.
And being Super Bowl betting season, early odds are out on everything from the over/under of the temperature at kickoff (currently set at 32 degrees Fahrenheit), will it snow during the game, and the NFC is an early two-point favorite.
[Over/under means bets can be placed on the X factor being over or under the set limit]
Oddsmakers set an over/under of 135 decibels for the highest decibel level shown during the 49ers/Seahawks game. But, Las Vegas believes Denver will put up the highest television ratings for any of the markets of the final four teams.
You can lay a bet on who will have the most passing yards in the conference championship with Peyton Manning the favorite (2-3), followed by Tom Brady (2-1), Colin Kaepernick (6-1), and Russell Wilson (6-1).
Vegas believes Marshawn Lynch of the Seahawks will go full "beast" mode on the 49ers and run for the most yards this weekend. Oddsmakers also say that Demaryius Thomas of the Broncos will have the most receiving yards, followed by Julian Edelman (New England), Anquan Boldin (49ers), and Eric Decker (Denver).
As for the games, Bovada has the Broncos as a four-point favorite over the Patriots in Denver. Bovada believes Brady will throw for 269 yards with LaGarrette Blount rushing for 72 yards for the Patriots. Oddsmakers set Manning's passing yardage over/under at 320 with an over/under of 3 TD passes.
In the NFC Championship Game, Bovada set 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's passing yards with an over/under of 190 and an over/under of 1 touchdown pass. On the Seahawks side, Bovada set the over/under of passing yards for Russell Wilson at 200 and rushing yards for the QB at 30.
The Seahawks, according to Bovada, are a three-point favorite over the 49ers and the game has an over/under of 39 points.
