Nurse Technician Accused Of Raping Patient
MIAMI (CBS4) - A South Florida nurse technician was arrested Tuesday on charges he raped a patient in his care at Kendall Regional Medical Center.
Luis Alfonso Lucero, 37, was charged with one count of sexual battery.
Miami-Dade Police say the victim, a 45 year old woman, was admitted to the hospital on August 2 to be treated for alcohol intoxication and was under the care of Lucero.
While in the hospital room, police say, Lucero had non-consensual intercourse with the victim.
Lucero was arrested after he allegedly admitted to the assault on a controlled phone call to the victim that was monitored by police.
