NTSB Investigating Deadly Plane Crash In Everglades
PALM BEACH COUNTY (CBSMiami) – One man was killed when a private plane crashed in the Everglades on Saturday.
The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office said the site where the plane went down, about 20 miles west of Boynton Beach, was only reachable by airboat.
While officials have not released the name of the man who died, West Palm Beach affiliate WPEC has reported that Paul Soule was the only person onboard when the plane crashed.
The plane took off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and was heading to the Leesburg International Airport in Central Florida when it crashed, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The PBSO, along with the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
