North Miami Marine Implicated In Tax Fraud Scheme
MIAMI (CBS4) - A United States Marine from North Miami is facing federal charges after police say he sold identities of fellow Marines to a Broward County woman who used them to file false tax returns.
CBS4 News Partners The Miami Herald is reporting that Cenor Jobson, 22, is accused of selling the names, dates of birth, and social security numbers of fellow Marines to Dorothy Boulin, 22, of Coral Springs. Boulin was convicted in a related tax fraud case, and admitted to the FBI that she and Jobson "agreed to split the proceeds from the fraudulent filings," according to a criminal complaint. She faces up to 22 years in prison for her role in the scheme.
The complaint also states that Jobson, while based at Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan, used his tablet computer to send text messages and emails to Boulin in the States containing the personal information of his fellow servicemen and women.
Jobson is currently in police custody and is expected to be transferred to Miami federal court to face fraud charges.
