'Noles Looking To End Losing Streak Against Gators
TALLAHASSEE (CBS4) - They used to square off at the season's end with national championships on the line.
But Florida and Florida State hook up Saturday with respectability and bragging rights for the next year at stake as the 22nd-ranked Seminoles seek to snap a six-year losing streak in the series.
Florida State (8-3, 6-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) is also hoping for a Maryland victory over North Carolina State on Saturday that would give the Seminoles a backdoor entry into next week's Atlantic Coast Conference championship game against Virginia Tech.
The Gators (7-4, 4-4 Southeastern Conference) have won three of their last four games and would love to finish up an otherwise disappointing year with a win over their intrastate rival.
