No Need To Panic For Heat
LOS ANGELES, CA. (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat's road problems continued Wednesday night in Los Angeles when the team lost to the Clippers 107-100 in a game that wasn't that close.
With the loss, the Heat's road record in the regular season dropped to 2-3 on the season, while the team remains undefeated inside the confines of the AmericanAirlines Arena. But it's not just losing games on the road that's problematic; it's how the Heat is losing.
The Heat was blown out by the New York Knicks, losing by 20 points earlier in the month. Then last week, the Heat lost by 18 to the Grizzlies. The Heat's other road loss came last night and was by seven points.
But, struggling on the road early in the season is not new for the Heat. Last year, in an early January West Coast trip, the Heat lost three in a row to Golden State, the L.A. Clippers, and the Denver Nuggets.
Plus, it's only November and the regular season in the NBA is one of the most meaningless in all of sports.
On the current road trip, Heat superstar LeBron James has averaged 27.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 7 assists per game and has been the most consistent Heat scorer. Off the bench, guard Ray Allen has averaged double-digit points for the Heat during the road trip.
