NFL Star's Cousin Faces Murder Charge In Broward
BROWARD (CBSMiami) – An NFL star's cousin was brought back to Broward County to face a murder charge.
Antoinne Hester, 22, is the cousin of Chicago Bears star Devin Hester. Antoinne Hester is charged with the shooting death of a Riviera Beach man on Interstate 95 last July, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
Hester is accused of killing Bevins Bennett, who was in the back seat of a Kia Soul on his way home from a Fourth of July party last year when Hester allegedly opened fire.
The shooting occurred on I-95 between Sunrise Boulevard and Sample Road, authorities said.
On Monday, Hester was found by U.S. Marshals in a home along the 3000 block of Avenue T in Riviera Beach. Broward County Judge John "Jay" Hurley ordered he be held without bail during his first appearance court hearing Friday.
Bennett, a Palm Beach State College student, died two days before his 21st birthday.
