NFL Player Injured In NW Miami-Dade Motorcycle Accident

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in northwest Miami-Dade Thursday night.
Walker was riding his dirt bike when he collided with an SUV at NW 21st Ave. and NW 75th St. just before 8 p.m.
His uncle showed up at the scene.
"The information I got was that it's very bad," Larry Eason said.
Walker was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
"Dirt bike traveling west bound on one of those dark streets, dressed in back with no lights could be a contributing factor," said Miami-Dade Det. Dan Ferrin.
Family and friends gathered at the hospital waiting for an update.
"We're praying. We ask everyone else to pray, make sure he gets out of surgery," said Shalonda Martin, Walker's sister.
Following news of the accident, the Baltimore Ravens tweeted out a statement from head coach John Harbaugh.

Walker, a Miami native, played high school football at Miami Northwestern and went on to play college ball at Texas Southern.
The 23-year-old cornerback was drafted by the Ravens in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
The rookie played in eight games – none started – and recorded two solo tackles.
