NFL Free Agent Frenzy Across Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – The NFL free agent moves continue to come at a furious pace across the Sunshine State.

The Jacksonville Jaguars wasted no time getting to work on free agency. Wednesday morning, the Jaguars agreed to terms with free agent middle linebacker Paul Posluszny. The former second-round pick has played his entire career with the Buffalo Bills.

Posluszny led the Bills with 151 tackles last season.

The Jaguars though need all the excitement they can heading into the season. The team has to sell about 17,000 tickets per game, including 10,000 season tickets, to avoid having their games blacked out locally, according to Jacksonville.com.

Meanwhile in Tampa, the Buccaneers have been one of the busiest teams in the NFL the last 36 hours. The Bucs have signed multiple draft picks including: first-round pick Adrian Clayborn; third-round pick Mason Foster; and seventh-round pick Daniel Hardy.

Clayborn was the first player selected in the first round to sign under the new rookie wage scale agreed to last week by the owners and players.

At the same time, the Buccaneers were also trying to land free agent offensive tackle Doug Free of the Dallas Cowboys, according to the Pewter Report. Free would eventually sign a free agent deal to a four-year, $32 million with $17 million in guaranteed money.
