Newly Released Recording Recounts High School Teacher's Ordeal

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Word first came in a 9-1-1 call from South Dade Senior High last September 19th - a male teacher relating a disturbing encounter with a dazed, bloody female teacher.
"She was walking down the hallway and she has blood on her face and pants," the caller told the operator. "She just told me to call 9-1-1."
Documents, photographs and recordings released the Miami-Dade State Attorney's office Tuesday detail how the teacher was allegedly beaten, choked and raped in her classroom by 18 year-old student Victor Marshall Nash. Evidence photos show the alleged horror story played out amid desks, chairs, pencil holders and assignment reminders written on chalk boards.
In an audio recording released Tuesday, the teacher related her ordeal to detectives at the hospital the day after the alleged attack.

"He just held me. I said, 'Don't do this, you're going to get in trouble. Don't do this. Don't do this.'"
Nash said nothing, she told police, slamming her to the floor, causing her head to bleed. she was helpless.
"I started screaming and no one could hear me," she said.
She said Nash wrapped his hands around her neck, silencing her screams.

"He was using his hands to choke me and I was like, I couldn't breathe," she said. "When he was choking me, it felt as if he was trying to kill me."
She was choked unconscious and, when she came to, immediately knew she had been raped.
In the victim's personal bag, police say Nash left a condom he had used. He stole her cell phone and car keys.
Homestead police stopped Nash five hours later driving her car on Campbell Drive. Nash's school photo ID was in the car.
Records indicate that shortly after midnight, Nash gave a full, recorded confession to attacking and raping the teacher. The documents and recordings released Tuesday did not detail the confession.
The records indicate police found valuable DNA evidence at the scene of the alleged attack. They also retrieved DNA from beneath the defendant's remarkably long fingernails.
Nash remains jailed on charges of attempted murder, rape of an incapacitated victim, and grand theft. If convicted, Nash, who was an adult at the time of the alleged crimes is facing up to life in prison.
