New Southbound 826 Ramp To Westbound 836 To Open
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- There are some major changes going on this weekend for those who use the Palmetto(SR 826) and Dolphin(SR 836) Expressways along with the opening of a new ramp.
Starting at 9:00 p.m. Friday, the NW 25 Street entrance ramp to southbound SR 826 will be closed. The closure will last until Saturday. Lanes will be closed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
In order to access the Southbound SR 826 ramp, drivers can go North on NW 79 Avenue and turn East at NW 36 Street , or go North on NW 72 Avenue and turn West at NW 36 Street .
Two southbound SR 826 lanes will be closed from north of NW 25 Street to SR 836 Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
On Saturday, the southbound SR 826 ramps to eastbound and westbound SR 836 along with the Westbound SR 836 exit ramp to NW 87 Avenue/NW 12 Street will be closed between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
The closures are due to the opening of a new ramp this weekend.
On Sunday, December 8 the new ramp from southbound SR 826 to westbound SR 836 will open.
Drivers on southbound SR 826 heading to westbound SR 836 will have to exit approximately three-quarters of a mile earlier immediately after passing the NW 25 Street exit.
Drivers on the southbound SR 826 ramp from NW 25 Street will need to exit to the left to connect with mainline southbound SR 826 or continue straight on the ramp lane to connect with westbound SR 836.
