New Network Launched Targeting Venezuelan Expatriates
DORAL (CBSMiami/AP) - Venezuelan expatriates looking to get a view of news from their home country will have a new Internet-based television network to view.
El Venezolano TV was launched by the company that owns El Venezolano newspaper. The newspaper was founded in 1992 and has editions in Broward, Orlando, and four South American countries.
The new television network is set to feature shows looking at daily news, art, politics, and Venezuelans living in and outside of Venezuela.
A spokesman for the new network said the aim of the station is to become "the voice of Venezuelans abroad."
In addition to the Internet, the new El Venezolano TV will also be viewable on smartphones.
