New Home For Liberty City Farmer's Market
MIAMI (CBS4) - A very unique South Florida Farmer's Market has a new home. From now until April, the Liberty City Farmer's Market has moved to the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center, located at 6161 NW 22nd Avenue.
The farmer's market features some of the best local, mostly organic, affordable produce in South Florida. It serves the under-served, and doubles EBT (food stamp) money up to $10 per visit. That means for every $1 in food stamps, buyers get $2 worth of fresh fruits and vegetables. The new location features ample parking, bathroom, a children's program and even after-school care.
The farmer's market is open to the public every Thursday from noon to 6:00 p.m. through April.
