Nearly 30 Members Of Venezuelan Consulate Fired
MIAMI (CBS4) - Nearly 30 employees of Venezuela's consulate in Miami have been given the boot for alleged corruption.
According to El Nuevo Herald, the 29 employees were fired following a story they printed about excessive fees for passports among other things. Apparently this is not the first time something like this has happened. The paper also reported that a group of employees were fired by the Miami consulate last fall after they complained to the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington about alleged corruption.
Those employees who were fired say the allegations against them are false.
