NCIS Coming Back For Ninth Season
NEW YORK (CBS4) - Fans of "NCIS" can breathe a little easier Wednesday. The series, ranked number one for scripted series, will return to CBS this fall for a ninth season.
CBS announced Wednesday that it will pick up the drama and keep the cast that includes star Mark Harmon and an ensemble cast that includes Michael Weatherly, Cote de Pablo and Pauley Perrette.
"NCIS" has consistently grown its audience since it debuted in 2003. The last episode of the show drew the biggest audience ever, roughly 23 million viewers.
CBS said the series, which is a spinoff of "JAG," has become popular in TV markets worldwide.
