NBA Finals Gm 5 Ticket Or A New Mercedes

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat stand just one victory away from claiming the 2012 NBA Championship and not surprisingly, trying to get a ticket to Game 5 Thursday night is going to cost you…big.

A quick analysis on StubHub.com, a leading secondary seller of tickets, finds more than 1,500 tickets to Game 5 for sale. The price ranges from $300 to roughly the cost of a brand new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan.

For $300, you can get a standing room only ticket for Game 5 where the Heat might win a championship for the first time since the Big Three joined forces in Miami. If you want an actual seat, the price in the nosebleed 400 level will cost you between $300 and $825, according to StubHub.

If you want to move down to the 100 level, get ready to dig DEEP into the pocketbook. Tickets behind the basket in the 100 level cost between $900 and $2500 a piece. Moving to the side of the court will increase your ticket price to upwards of $7,000 per ticket on StubHub.

Want to move really close to the action and into the Dewars Club in the 100 level? Tickets in that area are going for between $2,500 and $12,000.

If you want to be courtside for Game 5 Thursday night, you might want to trade your car for the tickets. Courtside south seats are available on StubHub for anywhere between $20,000 and $34,000.

But if you want to go all out and sit courtside next to one of the team benches, you might save some money if you bought a Mercedes instead. Courtside tickets beside the Heat bench are for sale for anywhere between $30,000 and $55,884.

For comparison purposes here's some things you could buy for $55,884: Mercedes Benz E-Class sedan, a year at Harvard Law School with a little bet left over, 5 brand new Sharp 90-inch LCD televisions, or possibly a Congressman or two.
