Nationals Drop Fish, 8-4
JUPITER, Fla. (CBS4) – The Florida Marlins were looking to make it two wins in a row Wednesday, but like most of the other games in March, the Fish couldn't muster a victory.
The Marlins lost to the Washington Nationals 8-4 in a mid-afternoon battle in Jupiter, Florida.
The Nationals were powered by Jason Marquis' pitching. He pitched four scoreless innings and Danny Espinosa had a homer to lead the Nationals' attack.
The Marlins bats didn't do much to help the cause Wednesday. Hanley Ramirez, Logan Morrison, and Omar Infante went a combined 1-9 in the game. Javier Vazquez gave up one run on four hits during four innings of work for the Marlins.
The Marlins are 5-5 in spring training this season.
