MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- With just five days left until election day, a new national poll shows Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump by three points.
The CBS News/New York Times poll - released Thursday - shows Clinton with 45 percent voter support nationally and Trump close behind with 42 percent.
The newly released results mean Clinton is down from the nine-point margin she had over Trump at the beginning of October.
Meantime, the poll shows Clinton maintains strong support with women and white college graduates. Trump's support among men - including white men - has increased within the last couple of weeks.
Researchers also found voters choice of candidate has not been affected despite news of investigations into Clinton's email or allegations of sexual assault by Trump.
As for which voters are more enthusiastic about casting their ballot, researchers found Trump voters are slightly more enthused.
The poll was conducted by telephone from October 28th to November 1st among a random sample of 1,561 adults around the nation including 1,333 registered voters.
The pool had a margin of error of +/- 3 points.
