NASA To Offer Tours Of Shuttle Assembly Building
CAPE CANAVERAL (CBSMiami/AP) - Space buffs will soon be able to see how shuttles are assembled for launch.
The Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral is creating a tour that will take visitors inside the vehicle Assembly Building. according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The tour will be offered eight times daily for a limited time beginning Nov. 1. Other stops on the two-hour Kennedy Space Center Up-Close tour include NASA's headquarters; the building which housed astronauts before each launch and where they boarded the Astrovan to ride to the launch pads; the NASA Causeway and its panoramic view of the area and the coast.
Reservations for the tour are highly recommended.
