Narcy Novack Won't Testify At Her Trial
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBSMiami) – The trial of Narcy Novack took another twist Friday when she informed the federal judge she would not be taking the witness stand in her defense.
Novack is charged with putting together the beating death of her husband, Ben Novack, Jr. The son of the founder of the famed Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach was found beaten to death at the Hilton Hotel in Rye Brook, New York in 2009.
According to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald, four other defense witnesses were set to testify Friday including the manager of the hotel where Ben Novack's body was found beaten to death.
The manager of the hotel said Narcy's reaction to being told of the murder of her husband was "overly dramatic," according to the Herald. Prosecutors said Novack knew of the attack and witnessed it after letting the killers into their hotel room.
The case could go to the jury next week.
